Alvin facilitated the entry of New Zealand into the 2019 Beijing Fine Art Biennale. He was approached to get New Zealand over the line and the 32 International judges were very impressed with Alvin’s art therefore New Zealand won a place for the first time with 21 New Zealand Artists and 34 paintings chosen by the judges including the 2 major works by Alvin.

During the exhibition every hour for 10 minutes an interview of Alvin was broadcast to 100 million Chinese. He featured with 5 other New Zealand artists in international publications also.
